Allied Building Products Implements Next-Generation Appian FinalMile Routing Software from TMW

Nationwide Distributor to Implement New Solution Across More Than 200 Business Locations

CLEVELAND, OH, October 27, 2015 — Allied Business Products, a leading distributor of residential and commercial roofing materials, siding, windows and other products, is deploying next-generation Appian vehicle routing and scheduling software from Trimble Transportation. With implementation already under way, the new solution is planned to be fully implemented by the end of this year in each of Allied’s more than 200 U.S. business locations. The East Rutherford, N.J.-based distributor operates a delivery fleet of nearly 2,800 vehicles nationwide.

“We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver superior service and products on time, every time,” said Allied CEO Bob Feury Jr. “We are continually looking for new ways to enhance the value we provide to our customers. I am confident that our investment in Appian software and our new relationship with Trimble Transportation will help strengthen our competitive advantage over the long-term.”

Appian routing and scheduling software enables users to improve distribution efficiency and customer service while dramatically reducing planning time, overhead and wasted mileage. These solutions, which in 2011 became part of Trimble Transportation, are widely used in multi-stop, final mile fleet operations within the building products, food service, medical supply, beverage distribution, restaurant supply, manufacturing, furniture delivery and third-party logistics industries.

“Allied Building Products is a dynamic distribution organization that maintains an intense focus on customer success and satisfaction. We’re very pleased to have earned this opportunity to work with them to achieve the benefits of implementing our Appian technology,” said Trimble Transportation President David W. Wangler.
