Enterprise Software Veteran to Lead Next Phase of Growth
Beachwood, Ohio – Trimble Transportation Inc., the largest developer and integrator of enterprise management software designed specifically for the trucking industry, today announced the appointment of David W. Wangler to the post of President and Chief Executive Officer to succeed Ken Thompson, who announced his retirement. Thompson will continue to serve as a member of TMW’s Board of Directors.
Wangler, 44, brings more than two decades of experience in the supply chain and manufacturing software arena to TMW. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of Bedford, Mass.-based SupplyWorks Inc., where he succeeded in transforming the Internet technology company into an aggressive on-demand enterprise applications business. He has also held senior executive positions in global sales and marketing for a variety of supply chain and logistics software providers, including Baan (SSA Global), SKYVA International and the Wonderware Corporation. Wangler holds both master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
